What’s Going On
This year’s walk to end Alzheimer’s is local due to COVID-19. But we wanted to use this year’s walk as a chance to bring all of our neighbors together.
Saturday, October 3rd
Meet at the Gazebo
Our walk will be around the town park and neighborhoods with sidewalks. Join us and bring a friend. It’s a great chance to be outside with your friends enjoying the day and supporting a great cause.
COVID has taken so much from us this is a chance to spend time together in a safe and meaningful way. You are welcome to donate, but that is not required. Walking with us will help raise awareness and will strengthen our community.
How This Got Started
Linda Starkey is a long time resident of Pavilion. She has participated in the walk for several years and was disappointed that the walk was disrupted by COVID-19. She was determined to walk anyway. Linda’s friends at First Baptist agreed to help her spread the word and provide logistic support.
This is a community event and we would love you to join us as we walk to end this terrible disease.
