Who is your God?

Hos 13:4-9 But I am the LORD your God from the land of Egypt; you know no God but me, and besides me there is no savior. . . (9) He destroys you, O Israel, for you are against me, against your helper.

Your view of God makes all the difference in how you approach life. Some people live for themselves, some for others, but very few live for God Himself. Hosea 13:4-9 states that Israel ran from the very God who called them and wanted to bless them. Verse 9 reveals the startling fact that Israel faced judgment because they opposed the God who wanted them to prosper.

Rest comes as we place our confidence in God alone – Who created us, who knows our weakness yet loves us, who alone knows what is best for us. Those who seek Him find new life, new identity, and rest.

Mat 11:29  Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
